Redefining Recruitment to Retention

AAPPR Webinar: The Upwardly Global Pathway: Unlocking Career Potential for International Professionals

Includes a Live Web Event on 06/04/2025 at 1:00 PM (EDT)

Restarting a professional career in the United States can be a daunting journey for internationally trained professionals (ITPs). Despite having advanced education and years of experience, many ITPs face systemic barriers that prevent them from re-entering their fields. Research shows that over 2 million college-educated immigrants in the U.S. are unemployed or underemployed—often working in survival jobs unrelated to their professional background. Key barriers include the non-recognition of foreign credentials, licensing requirements, lack of U.S. work experience, and unfamiliar job search practices.

This webinar will introduce attendees to Up’s specialized career coaching program, designed to support internationally trained professionals in overcoming these challenges and successfully restarting their professional careers. Through tailored one-on-one coaching, skills development, and job search support, the program helps participants build a clear strategy for re-entering the workforce.
